Jack Nicklaus International Invitational presented by Zurich

Would you like to represent South Africa in the Jack Nicklaus Invitational at the Bear’s Club in Florida?

It is that time of year again to enter one of the most sought-after amateur golf competitions around the world. Two lucky golfers will get to represent South Africa at the Jack Nicklaus International Invitational Finals. The finals will be played at The Bear ’s Club in October in Jack’s backyard in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The winning pair will be flown to Florida to battle it out against 11 other teams from around the world. Accommodation will be at the luxurious Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa, that offers a range of relaxation, ocean and outdoor activities.

The finalists will embark on a trip of a lifetime, with flights, accommodation and hospitality included, not to mention the rare opportunity to play championship golf on this spectacular course. Over and above that they will have the honour of dining at the Championship Banquet, where the winning pair will be crowned the Jack Nicklaus International Invitational champions for 2009. All finalists will also receive a Golden Bear Champions’ Blazer, Jack Nicklaus apparel and momentoes.

So get your entries in now for the South African regional qualifiers which will be played over 8 events on a selection of the finest Jack Nicklaus signature courses – Simola, Pearl Valley, Pecanwood and the newly opened Serengeti.

The South African Finals will fittingly be held at Serengeti on August 13, 2009, where the winning pair of the South African section will be decided.

The format is betterball Stableford with the two leading pairs at each regional event advancing to the National Finals.

To enter the competition
Your entry into the regional tournament includes green fees, halfway house, dinner, a Jack Nicklaus Collection golf shirt and cap, a subscription to either Golf Digest, Men’s Health, Best Life or Sports Illustrated as well as the chance to win through to an all-expenses paid final at Serengeti where you and your partner will stand the chance of winning through to the Jack Nicklaus International Invitational Finals in West Palm Beach, Florida where you will compete for the Jack Nicklaus International Invitational world title.
